Welding Engineer (SFI / IWE) (m/f/d)

As a welding engineer at RBU Germany, you’ll be responsible for all of our welding operations and will work closely with our workshop and our welders. We manufacture components for the energy, environmental, and process engineering sectors. We are a certified welding facility up to execution class EXC3 in accordance with EN 1090-2 and are additionally authorized to manufacture pressure equipment under the AD-2000 certification.
Your Responsibilities as a Welding Engineer
- Welding supervision in accordance with DIN EN ISO 3834 / 14731
- Development of welding procedure specifications (WPS) and production guidelines
- Preparation and Oversight of Procedural Reviews
- Preparation of test plans, test reports, and material specifications
- Ensuring that the manufactured components meet quality requirements
- Contact Person for Certification Bodies and Technical Standards
- Support for Sales and Other Departments
- Supplier audits and participation in supplier development
- Collaboration on product approvals in the field of welding technology
Your profile
Ideally, you will have the following qualifications:
- Engineering Studies
- Additional Certification as a Welding Engineer (SFI / IWE)
- Knowledge of the relevant standards, in particular DIN EN ISO 3834 / 14731
- Extensive experience in welding-related manufacturing, ideally in plant engineering, steel construction, or pressure vessel construction
- An independent and structured approach to work
- Enjoys working with the workshop, production, and welders
